Mom's mom

This is Mom's mom. Dad met her, but she died in the 1940's before Mom and Dad were married. Of course I never knew her, and I have seen few pictures of her. Her children (Mom and her brothers) always spoke very warmly of her. I know she taught piano in the home. I know she cried when one of her sons broke a vase when he "touched" it to the nose of a farm animal. I am wracking my brain trying to think of what else I know about her.
Mom is such a gracious, thoughtful, loving, generous woman, and her brothers are all such fine men, that I wish I knew more about their parents.
Mom wrote on the back of the picture, "An old-fashioned picture of my mother, Mary O'Brian Howard, at our home." Home was in the Mulberry community near Autaugaville.
She's buried in the cemetery at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church.
